Apology Letter

Today, it was brought to our attention that one of our lower-level advertising channels (“Advertising Channel”) might have used inappropriate and offensive content to promote the products of Baidu (Hongkong) Limited (“Baidu”) in Indonesia.
Furthermore, the advertisements in question might have also misappropriated various media names outlets by falsely crediting them as the source of the content.
Although all of our Advertising Channels are required by us to adhere to strict content guidlines, this offensive advertisements might still been allowed to run.
We, Avazu Inc., would thus like to take this opportunity to:

(1)    Sincerely apologize to Baidu and PT Kreatif Media Karya, who own the brand Liputan6.com, for any inconvinience caused by the incident mentioned above; and
(2)    To reaffirm our commitment ro quality, positive content in our advertisements.

After initial internal investigation, we believed that the advertising channel in question was driven to publish the inapporpriate ads in the sole pursuit of more clicks.
This advertising channel has acted outside of our and Baidu’s strict guidlines, and against its clearly laid-out content stipulations.
We have already taken immediate action to terminate our agreement with this advertising channel, and we will continually work to improve both the intensity and frequency of our qualitu assurance inspections, as well as the vetting process for new channels.
Fainaly, we would like to reiterate our sincerest apologies for this incident.
Our company is fully committed to working with Baidu, as well as members of the Indonesian Media, to strive for a healthier, safer internet environment.
We further agree to cooperate with Baidu and all of our friends in the media, using our best effort to help Baidu and PT Kreatif Media Karya reduce losses sufferd as a result of this inappropriate action by our Advertising channel.
We sincerely welcome feedback and support from all members of the media, partners, and internet users in Indonesia.
Thank you very much.
