Sawangan Subdistrict Military Command (Koramil) official Second Lieutenant Assistant Dedy confirmed that

a video showing an individual who was forced to get a vaccine shot was a hoax.

He denied that it was a repressive action against a resident.

Recently, a video showing several militaries and police personnel forcing a person to receive a vaccine injection went viral on social media.

The voice in the video said it was a COVID-19 vaccine shot.

The incident allegedly occurred in the area of Duren Mekar Sub-district, Bojongsari District, Depok City.

the military and the police personnel attempted to handle the person with mental disorders (ODGJ) who went on a rampage while carrying sharp weapons and disturbing residents. 

“Our members help residents to calm ODGJ who was disturbing because he carried sharp weapons.

They tried to relocate the man to a mental hospital.

The injection to be given to the person was a sedative given by Puskesmas.

Dedy further called on Depok City residents and the public not to easily believe and get provoked by the video.
