Fishpond

Two young children were found dead on Saturday in a fishpond belonging to a neighbor.

Local residents found the bodies of the two siblings in the fish pond.

The children were buried on Sunday.

It was thought the two children could have fallen into the fishpond while they were playing.

When they were found, they were floating [in the water],

Local residents took them to the nearest clinic  - but neither could be resuscitated.

“We have questioned a number of witnesses to obtain information on the deaths.

The owner of the fishpond had also been questioned.

Wiranto drowned when he fell into a fishpond at the family's residence.

Indonesia does not have a water safety program for children.
