A Nigerian man was deported by Indonesian immigration authorities in Bali after having scammed several women on the Island of Gods in addition to overstaying his visa.
The 30-year-old man, who is identified by his initials EEK, was sent packing yesterday at 8:30pm boarding an Ethiopian Airlines flight heading to Abuja via Addis Ababa.
EEK arrived in the country on July 23, 2019 and launched a children’s clothing business. The business closed down after he failed to keep it afloat.
EEK did not apply for a visa extension, which he should have done on Aug. 21, 2019 at the very latest.
“So he overstayed for 927 days, or more than two-and-a-half-years.
After his entrepreneurial endeavor went south,
EEK scammed women online by flirting and romancing them,
so he could convince them to transfer money to his account a la the Tinder Swindler.
EEK may not be able to return to Indonesia as his name was added to the country’s persona non grata list.
