Deported Tourist - Bali

Another day, another deportation.

A foreigner was expelled from Indonesia by immigration officers

in Denpasar after he reportedly made a scene by refusing to pay for his hotel in full in Sanur.

the 39-year-old man, identified by his initials AA, held Russian and German citizenships, and

they had served in the German marine corps

AA checked in at the Sanur hotel in June.

During his stay, he argued with the hotel’s management, justifying his anger with unsatisfactory hotel services he claimed he had received.

The owner suggested AA leave the hotel, but he was reluctant to do so and continued to give the management a hard time.

Eventually, he was reported to the authorities for causing trouble with locals.

immigration authorities exercised their right to enforce administrative sanctions on AA over causing public disturbance.

AA did not pay the right amount to the hotel as promised”,

He was ultimately deported for doing so.

AA claims to be a blogger and a freelance journalist to fund his island life,

He began his journey in Indonesia on April 23, 2021, and

He entered the country with a 60-day visitor visa.

His passport expired on July 19, 2022.

Deportation stories are worryingly common in Bali. From foreigners disrespecting the island’s sacred culture to complaints about the island’s authorities,

AA’s case is just one of many involving a foreigner getting booted out of Indonesia following scandals in Bali.

In fact, AA is one of three people who were deported this week.

One Dutch citizen with the initials CGAB (75), and another German national identified as SAP (55), were deported for overstaying their visas.

The three Europeans were deported last Tuesday, flying from Ngurah Rai International Airport to their respective home countries with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
