A man reportedly stole a cell phone and money owned by an 18-year-old male on Jl. Kartini Raya in Sawah Besar.


A man reportedly stole a cell phone and money after pretending to ask the victim about available modes of transportation to the West Java town of Sukabumi.


The victim, a resident of Sukabumi, was walking alone when the suspect approached him.

The suspect first asked him about available modes of transportation,

then He suddenly pointed a sharp weapon at the victim.

The perpetrator has threatened the victim and demanded his belongings.

The victim handed over his mobile phone and money to the perpetrator.

The suspect then tried to escape from the scene by boarding an angkot (public minivan).

With the help of passersby, the suspect reported the case to the police.

The police chased the angkot and arrested the suspect,

who is now detained at Sawah Besar subprecinct police station
