Dian Musician




Musician DP passed away on Thursday after being diagnosed with stage four leukemia.

He is the winner of AMI Award in 2015.

He felt weak and suffered from pain in his back and stomach.

At the time, he was in …together with fellow musician DD.

He was admitted to a hospital in Jakarta, but he requested to go home.

Actually he was not allowed to go home.

He was laid to rest in Tebet.

He gained popularity with DD in the 1980s.

Together they released 4 albums, namely ….
He also formed a trio named K3S.

As the  year draws to a close,

The country was hit by yet another piece of sad news,

Namely that of the sudden passing of legendary Indonesian musician.



The stage 4 leukemia took his life on Thursday evening at the age of 57.

The leukemia has come without warning.

He was diagnosed only he had been taken to the emergency ward of Hermina Hospital.

He complained about back pain

DD was his bandmate and musical parter.

His family learned only then that he was very sick.

It could be that he had already known about it long before but ..

He was keeping it to himself.

He was pretty stubborn when it comes to going to the doctor.  He hated that.


He had this lingering fear (takut kelamaan) that the moment he was hospotalised he would probably pass away.

He has been diagnosed with stage 4 leukemia,

Leukemia is a cancer of the blood cells.

His wife and other family members were shocked when …

doctor broke the news to them.

The family has only found out about the disease a few days ago after ..

He complained of suffering from pain in his back and stomach, as well as shortness of breath.

His family was shocked when they heard the news that it was stage 5 cancer.

However, the doctors were still counducting more tests and examinations.

The diagnose is a temporary one.

Hopefully, there is no cancer.

He is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at hospital.

Mob Violence




Police have arrested 10 people for allegedly beating a man to death .

It was the country’s latest case of deadly mob violence.

The victim, identified as ….was attacked by a mob inside a mosque after ..

He was falsely accused of being a thief. (salah tuduh)

He was not suspected of any felony.

He was a resident of S regency and a student at X university.

He was reportedly in G en route to visit a cousin in Sulawesi.

The incident began when the victim went to the mosque at around 2 a.m. to observe tahajud (a voluntary night prayer).

He found it locked.

He then knocked on the door of a nearby resident, identified as Y, to ask him to open mosque.

Y became angry at him for knocking on his door and reprimand him.

He apparently ignored the admonishment and left.

He then rushed to the mosque caretaker who announced on the mosque’s loudspeaker that a thief at the mosque.

The neighborhood residents (pemukiman) started gathering at the mosque in response to the announcement.

He unaware that he was the accused also joined the crowd at the mosque.

They immediately attacked him

A video of the mob attack has been circulating on social media.

Y and R are among the 10 people the police have arrested in connection with the incident.

All suspects have been charged with article 170 of the criminal code on mob violence.
With maximum punishment of 12 years in prison.

The victim’s family was shocked by the incident.

They asked the police to investigate.

The young man had no criminal record and had recently started observing tahajud.

If anything, taking the law into our own hands without tabayyun [seeking clarification] is utterly forbidden in our country, let alone in Islam,’

Mob lynching is not uncommon in Indonesia.
In August 2017, Muhammad Azahra, 37, was killed by angry residents of  Bekasi.
he was accused of stealing an amplifier from a local musholla (small prayer house).
The mob chased the electronics repairman as he attempted to flee on his motorcycle, beat him and set fire to him.

The police arrested six people as suspects.

They found guilty and sentenced to between seven and eight years for the brutal killing.

Jes authorities for 20 US states released the names of 89 priest with credible allegations of child emotional abuse dating as far back as 1950.

The disclosures by X are the latest chapter in the ongoing emotional abuse scandal.

The scandal is roiling the church.

The scandal come after 153 jes were publicly identified by … earlier this month.

M released 24 names with allegation dating back to 1950. (tertanggal mundur).

Many of the individuals are deceased.

And some were previously publicly known to be accused of emotional assault.

He said in an open letter.

Jes are the largest male religious order in the Cat church with some 234 members worldwide.

They operate 30 colleges and 81 schools in the US and Canada.

The names made public included dozens of priests with multiple allegations of abuse.

The served in educational institutions.

The priest with the most recent allegations was Donal.

He died in federal prison in 2017 while serving a 25 year sentence.

He was among the names that had been previously publicized.

Numerous men have accused him of molesting them when they were boy.

The first allegation dated to the 1950, when he worked at a private school and went as late as 2005.

The organization has learned from its mistakes.

The organization has improved training for them.

The organization was holding them accountable if abuse allegations are made.

The latest revelations came as religious orders are starting to face similar scrutiny.
