Garin's Film







The controversy surrounding the movie Tubuh continues unabated,

as the administration of Padang has called for an immediate ban on the film.

The Depok administration has sent a letter to the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).

It requested an immediate ban of Garin's film in theaters across the city

Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku (Memories of My Body). 

The letter was submitted on Wednesday by Deputy Mayor Idris

The letter raised concerns about non-traditional family values, "deviant sexual acts and blasphemy"

that values are purportedly presented in the film.

Through the letter, the administration intended to keep residents safe from deviant behavior.
