Mount Climber

A mountain climber  died on Mount Semeru on account of poor health.

He was an American citizen who
He was born in Yogyakarta,

He visited Bromo with a group of 21 people to climb the mountain.

Prasetyo had been complaining of a stomach ache at the time.

“He hadn’t climbed the mountain.
He was still at the shelter at the Ranu Kumbolo camp site.

He died while receiving first aid,”

Ranupani, is the mountain’s climbing entrance post.

“They asked us to send help to take Prasetyo  because he was sick.

However, on Sunday, they contacted the rescue team
to tell them that he had already passed away.


the six members of the TNBTS rescue team had taken Prasetyo back to Ranupani post at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
His body was then taken to Lumajang Hospital.

An initial plan included an autopsy,
however his wife did not feel one was necessary

as she had accepted his passing.
