(KPK) apprehended the head of Immigration Office

for alleged involvement in the illegal extension of tourist visas

A team of investigators from the KPK arrested the official, identified only as K,

at a coffee shop in the early hours of Tuesday.

The KPK also took into custody four other officers who
were allegedly complicit in the illegal visa extensions.

The foreign tourists had been staying at a luxury hotel in West Lombok.

KPK spokesman confirmed the arrests, saying

Meanwhile,  the Office representative – Junianto - confirmed the arrest of his superior.

However, he was unable to provide further information regarding the alleged crime.
