offered new routes from Bandung
After
the airport lost 56 flights to the new Kertajati Airport.
the airport operator supported the idea of opening
more routes from Bandung to airports in Java and Lampung as well as
international routes.
“We also aim to add the new routes to ASEAN countries and
Australia
while taking into account the runway capacity,”
the Ministry has allowed Bandung’s airport to
offer 26 new flights on July 1, including flights to Surabaya and Yogyakarta.
Citilink Indonesia and Xpress Air have already received permits.
Because of the flight relocations, a number of slots were available at Husein Satranegara airport,
the airport could serve up to 90 flights in one
day.
airlines that have expressed interest in opening new routes from
the airport included
Citilink, Wings Air, Xpress Air, Nam Air, Air Asia, Malindo and Silk Air.
