The administration of Karanganyar is to close down all eateries in the regency
selling dishes containing dog meat,

the measure was to be taken in a bid to prevent the spread of dog meat borne diseases in the region.

“We are begging for support so that there will be no dog meat borne diseases in Karanganyar regency,

The closure aimed to protect people and promote harmony between God and other living creatures,
Karanganyar is home to some 21 eateries offering dishes containing dog meat.

They are spread in a number of regions such as C, D, E and F.
