Neneng gets six years for taking bribes in Meikarta project

The Court on sentenced suspended Bekasi Regent - Neneng Hasanah - to six years in prison

and a fine of Rp 250 million (US$17,368)

in a bribery case pertaining to the development of the Meikarta township project in her regency.  (berkaitan dengan)

she and four of her subordinates in the Bekasi regency administration

The panel of judges convicted them for violating Article 12 of Law No 20/2001 on corruption

and Article 55 of the Criminal Code on complicity in a crime. ( keterlibatan)

The panel of judges also ordered Neneng to pay compensation totaling Rp 68.4 million,

which must be paid a month after the sentence takes effect.

 “Otherwise, her fortune will be seized and auctioned.

 If it is not sufficient, she will get an additional six months of imprisonment,”

presiding judge  said as he read the verdict, adding that

AD gets one year jail sentence for calling political rivals idiots

Musician AD makes a hand gesture

 after he listens to the verdict that sentenced him to 18 months imprisonment at the South Jakarta District Court on Jan. 28.

The Court has sentenced musician AD to one year in jail  for calling his political rivals idiots in a vlog.

The court, presided by judge R Anton Widyopriono,

The court ruled that

AD had violated Article 27 Clause 3 of Information and Electronic Transactions Law.

“The court sentence [the defendant] to one year in jail,” 

 he will appeal the verdict. 

Previously, the musician had been indicted under the law  (didakwa)

that forbids the deliberate distribution of "electronic information and/or documents that contain insults and/or defamation”.

Last year, Dhani was reported to the police by NKRI

after the musician called them idiots in a vlog.

Them = those who opposed the 2019 ganti presiden (2019 change president) declaration in Surabaya

Dhani was named a suspect in the case last October by the East Java Police.

He is a former Dewa band lead singer

Earlier, he was convicted under the same law by the South Jakarta Court in January

for tweeting that supporters of former Jakarta governor should be spat on. (diludahi)

The court sentenced him to 18 months imprisonment,

but he was transferred to Surabaya in February to face trial for the current case. (gis)
